The Sugar Plum Market is racing ahead to another stellar event this November! Since 2001, the holiday shopping extravaganza has raised over $2.8 million for numerous Fort Bend County non-profit organizations. Previous grants have contributed to educational programs, food pantries, assistance for women and children, literacy programs, and many other charitable needs. The 19th Annual Market, presented by the Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL) and Title Sponsor Memorial Hermann Sugar Land, will focus this year’s “JOY to the World” theme on the amazing organizations that have benefited from these grants through the years.

Lunches of Love (LOL) is 100% committed to ending childhood hunger in Fort Bend County by providing a free nutritious meal to children in need who qualify for the free lunch program. LOL provides a free nutritious lunch each day during extended school holidays and weekends. No child should go hungry. It began during Christmas break 2009 and fed approximately 150 children. Kids who depend on a nutritious breakfast and lunch while in school are suddenly left wondering where their next meal is coming from during extended school holidays and weekends. With your help, LOL is working hard to end the very real problem of childhood hunger in our community. To date, LOL has distributed over 2,198,400 lunches to children living in poverty. The Sugar Plum Market’s 2018 grant enabled Lunches of Love to pack and serve 24,000 lunches!

The 2019 Sugar Plum Market will take place at the Stafford Centre Performing Arts Theatre and Convention Center Friday, November 8th and Saturday November 9th. Market hours will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. A special Preview Night shopping event will be held Thursday, November 7th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with a limited number of tickets available.
