The mission of East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry is to address the basic human needs of families facing food insecurity and/or temporary financial crisis in East Fort Bend County. The goal is to alleviate hunger and raise community awareness to the problem of the needy in East Fort Bend by: 1-Efficiently administering the Interfaith Food Pantry. 2-Aiding persons and families in temporary crisis situations. 3-Helping persons understand and utilize resources within the community.

The George Ranch Historical Park opened in 1988 as an educational partnership between The George Foundation and the Fort Bend History Association. The Park features four historic home sites: the 1830s Jones Stock Farm, 1860s Ryon Prairie Home, 1890s Davis Victorian Mansion and 1930s George Ranch Home and Cattle Yard. The mission of George Ranch Historical Park is to deliver a compelling educational experience to students and the community through the history, legacy, and land of a pioneer Texas family. The vision is that every local student and community member will explore the historical park and be enriched by the experience.

Reining Strength Therapeutic Horsemanship provides equine-assisted activities and therapies to children and adults with special needs. Our program is in need of sidewalkers and leaders to assist in our therapeutic riding lessons. Sidewalkers will be walking along side riders & support the rider in performing the requested activities of the PATH, Intl. To be considered for sidewalking, the individual must be physically capable of walking alongside the horse for at least an hour. Leaders will lead the horses during the therapeutic riding lesson. Leaders must demonstrate an ability to control the horse in various situations. Additional in-depth training is necessary to lead a horse during lessons. To be considered as a leader, the volunteer must be physically capable of leading and managing the horse for at least an hour.

Fort Bend Seniors is committed to helping seniors remain independent by enhancing their quality of life through services and recourses. Fort Bend Seniors aim to ensure that each senior in the community has the nutritional sustenance they need each day to maintain their strength as they age, as well as the support and interaction necessary to combat social isolation. This is achieved through the Meals on Wheels and Congregate Center meals. Volunteers may assist with Meals on Wheels, Congregate Center, wellness calls, and various fundraising events.
