About

Dear Friends of Fort Bend Junior Service League,

For the past 15 years, the women of Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL) have enjoyed camaraderie, friendship and the joys of volunteering together to make Fort Bend County a better place.  This past year, as we celebrated our 15th Anniversary, we reached many exciting milestones in FBJSL’s history.  Since our inception in 2001, the League has raised over $3.4 Million.  Just last year, we provided an amazing 20,000 service hours to our community.

Our Members have the opportunity to volunteer with any of our 9 Core Placements.  These agencies each meet an important and diverse need for our community, serving a wide spectrum of Fort Bend County residents.  We are excited to open the Core Placement Application process again this year.  During our bi-annual review, we re-evaluate the volunteer needs of our existing Core Placement agencies, while exploring the opportunities to work with new ones.

In addition to working with our Core Placements, members of FBJSL also have the opportunity to be a part of our largest event, the Sugar Plum Market.  This year at the Market, we will celebrate our history of “Making Spirits Bright,” building on last year’s record-breaking year when Sugar Plum raised over $285,000 for 18 deserving Fort Bend County charitable organizations.  I encourage you to join us at the Stafford Centre on November 4th and 5th to shop over 100 Vendor booths!  Or better yet, become a Sponsor or purchase a Preview Night Ticket for the evening of November 3rd, and enjoy an exclusive night of shopping before the general public.  This fun, festive, holiday event will certainly be “Making Spirits Bright” all over Fort Bend County!

The wonderful accomplishments made by FBJSL both at the Sugar Plum Market and with our Core Placement agencies could not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of each and every one of our amazing volunteers.  From our newest members, to our long-standing members; and from our Sustaining members (Ladies over 50), to our Teen League members (Young Ladies in 9th -12th Grade); each of these women offers a unique perspective, talent, and contribution to FBJSL.  We are a diverse group, who are passionate about giving back to our community!

I am humbled, honored and privileged to serve as the Fort Bend Junior Service League President this year, and I encourage each of you to “Be the ONE who makes a difference!”
