Fort Bend, Texas – The Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL) is proud to announce that its Beneficiary Review Committee (BRC) has awarded a Community Assistance Fund (CAF) grant to Fort Bend Seniors. This grant will assist the non-profit organization in the purchase of a new delivery vehicle, which is vital for their mission of providing nourishing meals and critical services to home-bound seniors across the county.

Fort Bend Seniors relies on its delivery vans to transport daily and weekly hot meals to seniors, covering all areas of the county five days a week. In addition to meal delivery, Fort Bend Seniors operates seven senior activity centers where seniors gather for daily meals and participate in various activities that promote social interaction, physical well-being, and mental stimulation.

The Fort Bend Junior Service League’s Community Assistance Fund (CAF) provides essential financial support to local organizations that serve the needs of the Fort Bend community. By awarding grants like this one, the FBJSL continues to support non-profits that make a meaningful difference in the lives of Fort Bend County residents.

“We are honored to support Fort Bend Seniors with this grant, as they play such a vital role in the lives of our senior population. This grant will directly impact their ability to serve even more seniors in our community, ensuring they receive both nourishment and opportunities for engagement.” said Kelsea Weatherford, President of the Fort Bend Junior Service League. “This partnership reflects our commitment to fostering a thriving and compassionate community for all residents of Fort Bend County.”
