FBJSL Celebrates Surpassing $6 Million in Contributions and 10-Year Partnership with Memorial Hermann Sugar Land

Fort Bend, Texas – The Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL) is thrilled to celebrate a monumental year of giving and impactful partnerships. This year, FBJSL’s Sugar Plum Market raised and awarded over $335,000 to support local nonprofits, including $35,400 to the FBJSL Community Assistance Fund, which provides emergency grants to nonprofits for critical and immediate needs in Fort Bend County.

To commemorate this achievement and the League’s decade-long partnership with Memorial Hermann Sugar Land, a check presentation ceremony was held at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital. This event celebrated the collaborative efforts between FBJSL and Memorial Hermann Sugar Land, which have significantly advanced community health and wellness through volunteerism and philanthropy over the past 10 years.

Kelsea Weatherford, FBJSL President, shared her enthusiasm for the League’s accomplishments, stating, “Reaching over $6 million in total contributions to Fort Bend County nonprofits is an incredible milestone that reflects the unwavering commitment of our members, sponsors, and community partners. We are also thrilled to celebrate a decade of partnership with Memorial Hermann Sugar Land, which has been instrumental in helping us support organizations that make a real difference in the lives of so many Fort Bend County residents.”

The 2024-2025 FBJSL Board of Directors includes Kelsea Weatherford as President, Lindsay Rolph as President-Elect, April Bray as Vice President, Misty Gasiorowski as Secretary, Sarah Amyx as Treasurer, Jennifer Bombach as Director of Membership, Erin Curtis as Director of Community Service, Monica Hasty as Sugar Plum Market Liaison, Leslie Fish as Director of Technology, Michelle Vargas as Director of New Members, Kaila Williams as Director of Public Relations, and Jessica Gregory as Past President.

Since its inception in 2001, FBJSL has contributed millions of dollars and countless volunteer hours to nonprofits across Fort Bend County. The League remains steadfast in its mission to empower women through volunteerism and philanthropy, fostering a brighter future for the community.
