Fort Bend, Texas:

On Tuesday, May 3rd, the Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL) honored members for outstanding service during the 2021-2022 League year. Gillian Parker was named the 2021-2022 Volunteer of the Year. A member of the League since 2015, Gillian is a former member of the FBJSL Board of Directors and served on the Teen League Adult Advisory Board this past year. In addition to serving on other placements in the League, Gillian has continued to be a part of the Sugar Plum Market committee for several years. Her commitment to Fort Bend County is evident in everything she does, and she is admired and well respected by her fellow League members.

In addition to recognizing the FBJSL Volunteer of the Year, the League would like to acknowledge several other special volunteers. The 2021-2022 Provisional of the Year is Frankcoise “Frankyie” Steele. Frankyie has volunteered countless hours and managed to touch and help almost every one of the League’s Core and Event Placements this year. She has contributed her time and resources in various ways and went above and beyond for those in Fort Bend County.

Adrienne Barker was awarded Sustainer of the Year for her service to the League and the Fort Bend community. Adrienne has been a valuable member of the Sustainers since 2011. She has been an integral part of the membership drives for the Sustainers, even throughout the pandemic. Adrienne continues to serve and engage members through meetings and Dining Divas lunches, and her commitment to the community is apparent in everything she does.
