Fort Bend, Texas:

The Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL) is announcing the opening of its annual recruitment drive for the 2023-2024 league year. The organization is seeking women 21 and older interested in community service, fellowship, and philanthropy. The League is best known for its signature Sugar Plum Market event which has raised over $4 million that has been distributed to Fort Bend County charities.

FBJSL will also be hosting multiple recruitment events over the summer where potential new members can learn more about the League. Information regarding attending these events is available at www.fbjsl.org or on the FBJSL Facebook Page.

“There are so many reasons why I love being a part of FBJSL, but I especially love the opportunity to serve in our community and the friendships I have made since joining in 2020,” says Director of New Members, Sarah Kaivani. “All of the women in our League share the same heart for service, hard work, generosity and the spirit of volunteerism. FBJSL a great organization to join and get involved in making a difference in our community.”

The FBJSL partners with East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, Fort Bend Hope, Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels, George Ranch Historical Park, and Reining Strength Therapeutic Horsemanship as core volunteer placements. FBJSL also volunteers at events hosted by Child Advocates of Fort Bend, Fort Bend Rainbow Room, Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land, Parks Youth Ranch, and The Literacy Council of Fort Bend.

The Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL) is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and to improving the Fort Bend County community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
